Trust.Zone VPN
Trust.Zone VPN

Choosing a VPN provider to work with is not an easy task. You first need to do in-depth research about the company to ensure they offer the exact features you need from a VPN connection.

Well, you need not worry about the in-depth research about Trust.Zone VPN because I have already done that for you.

Trust.Zone VPN has always branded itself as an anonymous VPN provider. I decided to look through the company thoroughly and find out if they live up to their words.

The first remarkable thing that grabbed my attention about this company is its location. It comes with a significant advantage.

This review provides you with all you need to know about Trust.Zone VPN,  including its features, pricing,  performance,  and many more.

Read on to learn more about Trust.Zone VPN and its proclaimed anonymity.

About Trust.Zone

Trust.Zone was founded in 2014, and it is based in Seychelles Island. Earlier, I mentioned that their location was what got me attracted, and I guess you are probably wondering why.

Well, the reason is that Seychelles is located outside of the 14 Eyes countries. What this means is that Trust.Zone VPN is not subjected to any form of surveillance alliance that involves tracking or monitoring your online data.

Most VPN locations fall within the 14 Eyes countries, meaning they are steadily under surveillance. This gives Trust.Zone an edge over most VPN providers.

The privacy of their location makes Trust.Zone VPN one of the most secure and anonymous VPNs.

The VPN has 161 servers in over 91 zones around the world, including countries like the US, UK, France, Canada, India, and many others.

Trust.Zone VPN features include: kill switch, 1-click connect, auto location select, auto retry connect, 1-click port change, double VPN, DNS leak protection, etc.

Trust.Zone VPN functions on the following operating systems:

  • Android
  • Chrome
  • Firefox
  • Fire TV
  • iOS
  • Linux
  • macOS
  • Windows

It is important to note that while this VPN can function on these operating systems, there are some limitations. Trust.Zone VPN, has no clients for Android, iOS, Linux, or Mac OS. To operate on these systems, you have to configure the built-in-App.

The company’s VPN connection is supported on various platforms like routers, smart TVs, Xbox 360, PlayStation, computers, mobile devices, etc.

Pros and Cons of Trust.Zone VPN

Pros
  • Offers anonymous payment: If you are looking to maintain your privacy all through, including making payments for the VPN subscription through an anonymous source, I have good news for you. Trust.Zone VPN supports Bitcoin payment. Any transaction made through cryptocurrency is completely untraceable, meaning your privacy is secure.
  • Affordable price: Trust.Zone VPN offers overly cheap subscription plans. At first, I was a bit suspicious about their low prices. My initial thought was that their VPN service was probably poor, but I was wrong. This brand offers quality VPN services without compromise despite their cheap pricing.
  • No log: log storing compromises your privacy online. A VPN without this feature is a failed one. Trust.Zone VPN offers a strict no-log policy.
  • 3-day free trial: Offering a 3-day free trial is a thoughtful gesture. It also shows how sure Trust.Zone VPN is about their services. A 3-day free trial can end badly for a VPN provider if their services are below standard. That is not the case with this VPN.
  • DNS leak protection: As soon your IP address becomes compromised, your privacy follows suit. Trust.Zone VPN offers secure protection over DNS leaks. This means you do not have any reason to worry about your online actions or activities being exposed to a third party.
  • User friendly: One of the things I enjoyed about Trust.Zone VPN is how it simplifies accessibility on its App. Almost all the features they offer are accessible with just one click. Aside from their features, accessing some of their VPN services is easy, too. Their Windows VPN App is straight to the point and very easy to use.
  • Connection speed: I was impressed with the connection speed I experienced with Trust.Zone VPN. Many VPN providers with more features have failed greatly in this context, but not Trust.Zone VPN. You can experience more connection speed if you are located close to any of their servers.
  • Double VPN: Being able to connect to two different servers at the same time is a huge flex. You can easily switch to the server with the highest speed.
  • 10% discounts for payments done through Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies: Even with its low VPN subscription prices, Trust.Zone still offers 10% discounts for payments done with Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

Cons

  • Trust.Zone VPN has only the basic features: This VPN provider offers quality VPN services from maintaining your online anonymity to providing a secure VPN connection. I was quite disappointed when I looked through their features and found just the basic features available. This issue limits the users from having a full VPN experience and can even. Trust.Zone needs to upgrade its VPN features.
  • No split tunneling: Split tunneling is one of the most important VPN features and, unfortunately, Trust.Zone VPN does not have this feature. What the split tunneling feature does is that it gives you the choice of where you can use the VPN connection and where you can use your local connection. That is the ability to connect to a private and public server simultaneously. It can also help in improving and controlling the speed of your VPN connection. The less load you have on your VPN,  the faster the connection
  • Limited simultaneous connections: I discovered that you can only connect to three simultaneous connections on Trust.Zone VPN. To upgrade to up to 5 connections, an extra $3.99  has to be added to your monthly plan, which is quite sad. If you are looking for a VPN with unlimited or at least more than five simultaneous connections, then Trust.Zone VPN is not for you.
  • Trust.Zone VPN has no clients for Android, iOS, Linux, or macOS: Gaining access to these operating systems requires you to do some manual configuration. Naturally, the connection speed for manually configured connections is not as sharp as that obtained from a direct connection. In all, manual connections are not bad; they still get the job done.

Features of Trust.Zone VPN

Trust.Zone VPN has some outstanding features, but I must point out that when compared with most VPN providers, its features are quite minimal.

The good thing about the VPN is that the number of features it has does not limit it from offering quality VPN services.

Aside from the obvious features, the VPN has some other hidden features that are unique and useful.

Here is a list and description of Trust.Zone VPN features;

1.   Click Connect

Nothing beats getting what you want with ease. 1-Click Connect is one of the remarkable features Trust.Zone VPN provides.

You do not need to spend much time trying to figure out how to connect to your chosen VPN server location. All it takes is one click to get connected.

I like a straight-to-the-point kind of setting, and that is the exact vibe I get from Trust.Zone VPN. No complexity, just a simple 1-click connection

2.   Kill Switch

This has to be the most looked out for VPN feature for me. The Kill Switch feature is a must-have for every VPN.

A VPN connection can drop at any time, and without this particular feature, your IP address will no longer be anonymous.

The role of the Kill Switch is to automatically shut off all outgoing internet connections immediately after the VPN connection drops.

The Trust.Zone VPN Kill Switch feature, based on my observation, is indeed reliable and very active.

3.   DNS Leak Protection

Domain name servers(DNS) leak defeats the whole purpose of having a VPN connection. A domain name is the name of a website, and every domain name stands for an IP address.

An IP address connects the device with a website on the internet. If your IP address leaks to third parties or means they have access to your browsing history, your location, and other of your online actions.

Trust.Zone VPN has a DNS Leak Protection feature, meaning your online actions are safe from prying eyes.

4.   Double VPN

Truth.Zone does not take the loyalty of their users/customers for granted. To ensure that smooth connections are maintained, the VPN has an advanced version of this feature.

The Double VPN routes your traffic through two separate servers, which is brilliant. Having separate servers increases the safety/privacy of your IP address.

5.   No log

Stored logs give your internet server provider(ISP), access to your browsing history. Trust.Zone VPN has a no-log policy,  meaning your privacy is safe and secure. All usage data is anonymous and not connected to your IP address

An exposed IP address exposes all your online actions to third parties, including your location.

No log is an important feature to look out for in a VPN.

6.   Auto Retry Connect

Even with the Kill Switch feature, Trust.Zone VPN still has an auto-retry connect feature. What this feature does is it automatically reconnects the VPN connection when it drops.

This is indeed a fine feature, as it saves you from the stress of trying to reconnect manually. It saves time and, most importantly, saves you from forgetting to turn on your VPN and risk exposing your privacy.

7. click Port Change

Trust.Zone VPN supports different ports like 21, 22, 80, 443, 1194, and other ports. With the 1-Click Port Change feature, you can easily switch from one VPN port to another with just a click.

A huge turn-off for most VPN users is having to deal with complex VPN access. I didn’t experience any complications with this VPN; all the features I wanted to explore were just 1-click away.

8.   Encryption

Encryption makes your data online unreadable by turning it into a code that can not be decoded. The best encryption to use for a VPN is the Advanced Encryption Standard with 256-bits (AES-256).

Trust.Zone VPN uses AES-256 to maintain your privacy online without the risk of being discovered.

There are other encryptions aside from AES-256, but encryption stands out. It is currently the most tested and trusted one. A VPN encrypted with AES-256 can not even be accessed by the VPN provider.

9.   Auto Location Select

Rather than manually searching for the closest VPN server to connect to, or worse, choosing a server far from your location, a server closest to your location gets chosen for you automatically.

The closer your location is to a server, the faster your connection. The speed of your connection is not the only advantage here; you are also guaranteed a stronger VPN.

10.  Trust.Zone Protocols

This feature determines the transmission of data to a network. Without the internet protocol, your VPN connection will be useless.

I scrutinized this feature thoroughly to discover if there were loopholes, but Trust.Zone VPN protocol is properly established.

To guarantee the effective transfer of data, they use;

OpenVPN

OpenVPN is crowd-sourced and well-known for its speed and high security level. It is a trusted method to bypass firewalls.

Trust.Zone VPN protocol uses OpenVPN to ensure that your data is transferred securely through the encrypted tunnels to the server.

11. Safe use of public Wi-Fi

You can connect to public Wi-Fi with ease and without the fear of being hacked. Public Wi-Fi is usually unsafe as cybercriminals see it as an avenue to gain access to your personal information. With Trust.Zone VPN, your connections to public Wi-Fi are safe.

Do I recommend Trust.Zone VPN?

The only downside to this VPN is that it offers minimal features. Other than that, the VPN services are great and cost-effective.

If you have gone through this review and you have no problem with the limited amount of features they offer, then I recommend this VPN for you.

Trust.Zone VPN guarantees its users an anonymous presence online, and so far, they have not disappointed.

Pricing for Trust.Zone VPN

Privacy and Security

The usefulness of a VPN is to provide its users with maximum online privacy. However, there is a possibility that your VPN provider can have access to its information and even sell out some of your data.

The mistake most people make is ignoring a VPN company’s privacy policy rather than reading it thoroughly. You may end up missing important information you should have known before subscribing to the company’s plans.

Some companies can be tricky with their policy, and you can easily fail to notice important details if not properly read.

After a proper scrutiny of Trust.Zone VPN privacy and security policy: I discovered that the company has a well-defined privacy and security policy.

The company stated clearly in its privacy policy that user logs are not stored, meaning they do not have access to your online activities.

However, they mentioned that the only details they retain are users’ email addresses provided at signup. The email is used as an identifier to allow the user to log in to the trust.Zone account.

They also clearly stated that all 3rd party Payment processors can store specific information about payments, but they(Trust.Zone), do not save personal details about payments in their system.

If you are not comfortable with using a third-party payment processor, you can make anonymous payments with Bitcoin.

In terms of ensuring your security online, their DNS leak protection and no-log feature guarantees your online privacy safety

Lastly, as long as they use the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES-256), they can never have access to your online data.

Trust.Zone VPN Performance

A VPN is judged based on its performance level. You can’t just choose a VPN without first knowing how well it performs and if it can give you what you want.

The important performance features to look out for are the speed of the VPN connection, its reliability level, and lastly, the safety and security level of the VPN.

Read on to know if Trust.Zone VPN passed this test.

Safe and secure

The job specification of every VPN is to guarantee the safety and security of your privacy online. No safety beats maintaining an anonymous presence online, and that is exactly what Trust Zone VPN offers.

Trust.Zone may be lacking in some areas but when it comes to safe and secure VPN connections, they are one of the best.

Thanks to the 3-day free trial they offer, I was able to observe their security and safety measures, and I must say that I was pleased with their level of performance.

With the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES-256), strict no log policy, together with the DNS leak protection, Trust.Zone VPN truly meets up to its expectations.

Speed

In most of the reviews I read online about Trust.Zone VPN before I proceeded to do my test and research, so many accolades were given to the speed performance of the VPN.

Having tried it myself, I can attest to the fact that the accolades were not exaggerated.

You are sure to have a great experience with your VPN connection, especially if you are using Windows.

The Double VPN And Protocol feature on Trust.Zone VPN further enhances its speed performance.

Reliability

To be honest I was a bit sceptical about this brand’s level of reliability due to the low number of servers it has. So far, Trust.Zone VPN has kept to its word on providing anonymous VPN without interruption.

They are strict with their no-log policy, DNS leak protection, and all other strict security measures needed to keep your personal data online private.

Trust.Zone VPN Customer Support

A good customer support system is important for all brands, as it Serves as a direct means of communication between the service providers and their customers.

When you open the customer support page On the company’s website, the first sentence there refers users to the frequently asked questions from other users compiled by the support team.

The second sentence encourages VPN clients for Windows with problems to try troubleshooting with the link provided before contacting them.

If your issue is beyond the above solutions, you would have to contact them through a ticket system.

To test the efficiency of their customer support, I asked some questions and remarkably got a same-day reply.

Note that their customer support is not available for 24 hours. You can only contact them from Monday to Friday, 7.00 AM to 5.00 PM.

Overall, I can attest to the fact that Trust.Zone VPN offers quality customer support service.
